Today, let us remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of India. On the auspicious morning of 25th January 2021, Woodstock School celebrated Republic Day in the school premises. It was the matter of great pride for all of us. January 26 marks an important day in India's history. In 1950, the country became a republic after attaining independence three years earlier. On this very day, the most important document in the country, our constitution came into effect as well and is considered sacrosanct always.

The day was celebrated with great pomp and show at Woodstock Public School . The campus was beautifully decorated with tricolor balloons and posters of freedom fighters. To grace the occasion our beloved Chairperson Dr. Satinderjit Nijjar, our elite Principal Dr.Ancy were present . However, due to COVID-19, our school has decided to have no chief guest present during the festivities.

Principal, teachers and the students didn't want to leave any stone unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one. Our hon'ble Chairperson and Principal unfurled the national flag. After that everybody stood  for National Anthem sung by the students.

Students presented cultural items that included patriotic songs, folk dances and speeches and poems. Students also presented skit based on casteism.

The message of the skit was to convey that we Woodstockians will not tolerate such activities in the country on the basis of caste, colour and creed. Then there were speakers who through their speeches and poems invoked the precious contribution of great freedom fighters. Towards the end, Our respected Chairperson Dr. Satinderjit Nijjar shared her valuable words with the students and also extended warm wishes on this Republic Day .
